Cupcake baby hats! I made this one for a co-worker's new grandbaby. They would be cute on a newborn, but I don't know how they would look on a child older than that, except maybe on their birthday.

It was an exciting day of getting ready. I made it back from the quilt retreat to go to the hair appointment. My mom came over to help me get things ready at my house. We fed 10 kids before prom. It was so fun to see the kids all dressed up. Some of those boys I've never seen in anything but jeans and t-shirts. They were having just as much fun as the girls. Lizzy's boyfriends parents came over to help serve dinner. It was a wonderful evening.
It started snowing yesterday and has continued to fall. We got so much wet, heavy snow that they cancelled schools here today! My Senior got one more snowday. Ü
To a beautiful graduate. It's been fun going through all the pictures of our family and her childhood...
Things are pretty focused on Prom this coming weekend and a graduation party next month. I've looked so forward to this day, and dreaded it at the same time. As she is our last child to graduate, not only is her life about to change, but things will be so very different for Bruce and I. We've already started spending more time together. I'm excited to see what each of our children will do/become as they grow older.
My daughter brought this fabric over to me to make a gift for a friend of her's. Burp cloths and a onsie is short order! She was pleased. Yesterday I worked on an apron that I'm so excited to share with you too. It will be next week though. I'm headed to Wisconsin, with my daughter and a few of her friends to shop. (An excuse to get out of town over Spring Break.)
This is a triangle quilt. Kathy, in our area quilt guild, has made at least 6 of these. She made one using men's shirts/alternating light and dark fabrics. This is my first and is made with donated fabrics to the guild for a charity quilt. I have three of twelve rows done...
I did get the zipper in the back of the sweater this weekend. (One project done and three more started...)
My oldest daughter bought me some lace weight yarn when she went to Estonia last year. I've started the swallowtail shawl for her. (shhh it's a surprise.)
I couldn't resist this sweet little sweater pattern at the shop the other day... I am using a cotton yarn that I had in my stash. Besides these two knitting projects there are two baby sweaters currently in work and a Dale sweater for myself I'm working on....(We're not gonna even talk about the two quilt tops that need quilting yet and my color project that I need to finish quilting and bind by next month...)
I'm thinking they will either become teddy bear quilts or sash and bind to make a NICU quilt.
