Knitting in the round

Started this purple version of the blue sweater yesterday. You can see where the steek for the front of the sweater is (5 stitches where needles meet), and one of the arm steeks. It goes much faster when I don't have to do a purl row. Why is it that most of us don't like that purl row? Someone once told me it's because we usually learn to knit first which makes purling seem more difficult.

A little sewing was accomplished today, but work calls tomorrow, so it may be a little bit before I have anymore to show.

We went to see 10,000 BC tonight. It was more of a romance than I had thought it would be. I love a romance, my husband and brother were a little disappointed.

The start of the sweater looks great - I love the color. I don't know the vocabulary of it all - but you sure make the end product look good!

oh, this looks so nice! I agree with the purling. I feel like I can knit so much faster!
