Tradition
Almost every member of my immediate family has a Christmas Stocking knitted by me. (These aren't going to hang on the tree, I just put them there for their photo.) Since my neice and nephew are new parents, I thought they needed a stocking with their new titles on them as well.
I used Nancy Lindberg's Christmas Socks pattern. Her pattern calls for stripes with different patterns like bells, elfs, snowmen, etc knitted in them. This time, I followed her pattern, but just did 8 row stripes. I love this pattern because it has an "after thought heel". The pattern also calls for worsted weight yarn and a size 9 needle (I used a size 8). It's a quick knit.

those are sweet! I'm sure they will love them!
Those are so cute. I may have to pass that pattern on to my mom to knit up for S and K.
Marcia you are so productive, I love them!
how very thoughtful of you Marcia! They turned out great! I only hope one day I can say something I knit is a "quick knit!"
