A Sweet Gift
As I'm sure all of you are, busy here getting ready for Christmas. Next year, I'm going to be so much more organized! My daughter Emmye, gave me a box full of Hallmark Christmas Thimble Ornaments last year. I've been enjoying them so much this year. I've collected Hallmark Ornaments since 1977. I had a few thimble ones so she got me them all on ebay.
My friend Donna stopped by last night with a Christmas gift. I love this....

Sewing

Just a few more eco bags. Now that I have the hang of it....there will be more! Ü These are going to be Christmas gifts. There was enough of the lining material left over for a wonder wallet and a therapy bag! I had a wonderful day in my sewing room yesterday. Hope you are enjoying the Holidays too. Our schools are still closed today here, but I'm off to work.Dec 9, 2009
Gotta Love a "Snowday"
All our schools are closed. It was my day off anyway, but I still like being "snowed in", and able to work on projects. I have one of three Dharma Eco-Friendly Bags No. 96 done.
The bag folds up into the pocket, to put in your purse or car. This is the medium sized one.
I had to just take the directions one step at a time. It was a little confusing, but worked out perfect!
Enough fabric for two more, so you will see this again...Ü Crap! I just realized I made the pleat go the wrong way!!!!!!! ugh! Oh, well, I'll do the next one right!
Still working on reindeer food for some neighborhood kids, but some co-workers came over to help me make 125 packets for the children/grandchildren of co-workers on my unit. This is a yearly tradition for me. Snowman soup for neighber kids is still on my to-do list.
Two more therapy bags. One for my son and another for a friend of his. These are 7x14. I like them better that size.
Back to my machine. I'm going to enjoy this day!

Recently at a Quilt Retreat, one of the gals had the cutest little hen pin cushion by her machine.
My husband's mother used to tell them a story about the speckled hen and how beautiful she was because of her kind heart. My good friend Jane (a speckled hen herself) lent me hers. I was able to figure it out on my own. I added a little charm heart in rememberance of the story.
Thanks Jane!
These fleece hats are very cute.
Flannel Gift Bags
For anyone with little kids, this Christmas card would be so cute to make for parents or grandparents.

Things Take Time...
I started this quilt top way back in March of 2008! I pinned it out at a retreat. Finally got around to quilting it today. Good thing my parents stopped by. I was having some difficulty rotating the quilt under my machine by myself. Lets just say it was a real team effort. The binding is on and in the process of being hand sewn down. Hopefully I'll have a picture for you soon.Dec 1, 2009
Tis the Season!
As soon as I had the tree up and decorated, Rhett decided it was a good place to snooze! My teddy bear for the Quilting Guild is ready. I made a teddy bear quilt earlier this year and just got her outfit done. (Good thing, our meeting is tomorrow!)
I made a couple flax seed bags. This fabric looked masculine to me. I hope my son will like it.
