At least a year ago, I bought this shower curtain at Target on sale to use as fabric. Do you ever look at tablecloths and showercurtains on sale for fabric? My friend made hotpads with appliques for a group of us for Christmas using a tablecloth she bought on sale. I have always intended to make bags out of this. Then I found a dark green, tablecloth at Shopko for $6. Such yardage for so cheap. It's a little long and skinny.... I have more ideas. Used basic bag techniques. Not lined as fabric is pretty sturdy on it's own. I squared off the bottom.
I'm looking forward to playing with these fabrics for size and shape of several shopping bags. It will be fun to see how many can be made from this amount. Nothing fancy, but more practical for use. I'm thinking the height might be good for fitting more into a shopping cart. I usually only grocery shop once every two weeks except for milk/bread. My bags are always piled on top of each other!

What a pretty bag! That is a good idea about looking for onsale table cloths. I usually look for flat sheets in Target's clearance section.
