Good Intentions

I posted about this bag here. Finally got around to lining it this weekendSamantha loved it. I used part of a vintage sheet for the lining, then hand sewed it in.
Completed the sweater and cut open the steeks. Now it just needs a few finishing touches and some sleeves. Hope to have it done by Friday.
Spring is here! Yeah! This is my walking bag. It has a long strap that I wear over my shoulder. It holds a ball of yarn nicely. I found this UFO and thought it would be a great, mindless, walking project. I only have to occassionally glance at my needles, so I get a little knitting done when Bruce and I take some big walks.
I bought this Reebok pedometer to keep track of how far we walk. On the evenings I work, I promised Bruce to walk one of the dogs in the morning.

We walked 4 miles yesterday. I'm afraid of falling on the ice in the Winter, and there really aren't any open sidewalks due to our snow. So, we will walk every day now until there is ice on the ground again. Hopefully I can get my dietary intake decreased a little to actually benefit from all this exercise!

you walk and knit at the same time?! what talent you have! I am almost done the peices of the sweater I have been working on for over a year. now I have no clue what to do with the peices. need to find someone like you who lives around here to help me!

I always feel better in the spring when I can get out and exercise too.

I have a wallet that matches that purse, since I used the same sheet fabric when I made it ;)

Marcia, thanks for your visit to my blog :) I hope you've avoided the flu this year!! Usually I don't get sick but this year has been a bad one.

I really am impressed with your knitting! The sweater looks great. And keep up the dog walking! I went down a couple pants sizes over the past year by walking the dog every day and only eating when I was really hungry... not just because it was "meal time" or mindless snacking. I'm proud of you for doing that!

I am so impressed that you can walk and knit at the same time... I sometimes can barely muster the walk and chew gum thing!! What a great idea, though - and good for you for getting out and doing it!
