Favorite Friday Blog Finds

Lisa received her kitchen swap. I didn't want to post about it till she got it, but this is the apron I made her using a vintage tablecloth. I hate cutting up vintage things, but the tablecloth had a stain on it that I was able to cut out. I did send her a few more things (like some chocolate for being late with my swap). Check out her post here.

Here's my very own clothespin apron. I just made my own newspaper pattern using the picture from the previous post as inspiration. I'm very pleased.
I bought this fabric over a year ago. It's called "Forties Retro" by Sharon Yenter, for In The Beginning fabrics. I knew I loved the print, but wasn't sure what I would make with it when I bought it. It would've made a cute curtain for the laundry room.

Check out this post for a great organizational idea.

If you have little people in your life, this sure looks like some great Summer Fun.

We're looking forward to our local 4th of July Parade today and fireworks in the lower harbor this evening. Hope you have a great 4th.

the aprons are adorable! i hate to cut vintage fabric, too--but sometimes they make the best finished product:)

Great little aprons Marcia! I know what you mean about not wanting to cut up favorite fabric.
